The trailer shared on YouTube (Embed link) hints at an emotional journey from her humble beginnings in Ijebu Ode to her meteoric rise in international athletics.

“Over the past couple of years, I’ve been pouring my heart into a project that shares my journey, the highs, the struggles, and everything in between. I’m beyond excited to finally give you a glimpse of what it’s all about with this teaser.” Amusan shared on her Instagram

The project, a collaboration between ATHLST Studios and Magicline Films, marks a significant milestone in Nigerian sports documentation. It’s the brainchild of ATHLST Studios’ CEO Lanre Aina and sports executive Sulaiman Folarin, both making their directorial debut.

Sandra Oboh, COO of ATHLST Studios, highlighted the documentary’s importance in the current sports landscape. “At a time when female voices are stronger and athletes like Tobi are getting the recognition they deserve, we at ATHLST are proud to release our first feature project with her,” Oboh stated.
The film is expected to delve into Amusan’s childhood, her early struggles, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that led to her record-shattering performance at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. It aims to showcase the grit behind the glory, offering an unprecedented look into the life of a world-class athlete.

Amusan herself hopes the documentary will inspire Nigerians and anyone who dares to dream. “This documentary is a window into my world,” she explained. “It’s about the sweat, tears, and countless hours of training that go into those few seconds on the track. I hope it inspires young athletes to pursue their dreams relentlessly.”
