Description

This auction is for a PAIR of Focal 8V416J 8-inch Polyglass woofer drivers/speakers, made in France. A quick search will show a NedLab link for a pdf specs sheet, which will provide you with all the information on these, including an amazing fs of 22.8Hz!
I am the first/original owner, and no longer use these, so they are up for sale. Polyglass exponential cone designed with large neoprene positive half roll surrounds, all supported by highly rigid and precise cast aluminum baskets, produce a fast,
musically-engaging sound and have reasonably flat response, as to be expected by Focal.
I used these in a transmission line enclosure with great results.
The smaller cones are known to be very fast and musical, but also yield a nearly seamless integration from the bass to midrange frequencies. Large, neoprene half-roll surrounds, long voice coils, double back plates, very smooth response, and exceptionally low resonant frequency!
NOTE: the dust caps have been replaced, as the dreaded 'my children pushed them in' thing happened. Please have a close look at the pictures.
