Description
This listing is for a set of Pioneer dividing networks that belonged to a mid century console system that was purchased in Japan in 1969 or 1970 (the original owner couldn't remember which). The husband was in the Navy at the time, stationed in Japan and according to the wife, they didn't have any TV or decent radio stations so their only entertainment was good 'stereo music' as she called it. So they had a console made and purchased the best components they could find at the time, including the speaker systems that these networks came out of. The speakers sounded phenomenal and I have the other components listed (please see my other listings). These dividers seemed to be working. Rotating the dials changed the output levels of the speakers and it could definitely be heard as a change in mid range or high end. That being said, I can't say unequivocally that they are working perfectly. It would take someone with more knowledge than me to determine that. The only flaw I found has to do with the attaching screws for the covers. They thread into small brackets that were just glued to the floor of the box and after 50 years some of that glue is failing, so a few of those brackets have come loose. They will of course be included along with the original mounting hardware and spec sheet. Thanks for looking!
