This is a well cared for SONY DSR-30 DVCAM Mini DV MiniDV Player Recorder *FULLY TESTED/WORKING*
This VCR is in good condition for its age. Minor scratches with age but well cared for (see photos). Extensively tested across ingest and output, DV/Firewire and analog. Plays full sized DV and DVCAM tapes and the smaller MiniDV tapes. Heads were cleaned and picture quality is excellent. The pictures in the listing with video playback were recorded on this deck via Firewire/IEEE.
For what it's worth, I see a lot of these DVCAM decks and this is one of the best engineered in my opinion, notably the tape loading and transport mechanism. It is so smooth and just works, whether MiniDV or the full-sized tapes. I really think these decks would sell for more on here if people really knew how well they are designed. They're workhorses. The only downside is the physical footprint of the deck vs a say DSR-25 and other smaller form factor professional and prosumer DVCAM and MiniDV decks out there. This has the form factor of a prosumer VCR and is built like professional equipment, so it's heavier than other options (also because it's built really well).
Very solid option if you have a lot DVCAM, Full-sized DV and/or MiniDV tapes and you need a dependable option.
