The PDW-75MD XDCAM HD is an optical based HD video disc recorder designed for medical applications. The device records high definition video in 1440 x 1080i resolution, delivering outstanding HD image quality and accurate color reproduction. To accommodate the increasing adoption of HD imaging in the surgical environment, this second generation recorder employs a newly developed dual layer optical disc technology that greatly increases the recording time per disc. The PDW-75MD can store up to 4.5 hours of high definition video on the 50 gigabyte dual-layered disc and up to 2 hours on one 23 gigabyte single layered disc.
