Vintage 1988 Avon Porcelain Doll Collection Southern Belle 8.5 inch porcelain doll figure with metal stand.

Doll is in excellent vintage condition.  Original box, background information card and metal stand included.
Avon's celebration of American women continues with this beautiful and exclusive hand-crafted collector doll.  Representing a woman of the 1850s, she wears a dress inspired by the fashions of Europe.  Her sheer pastel outer skirt and petticoats are fashioned from light fabrics to accommodate the hot Southern climate.  The blouse and ruffles are trimmed with lace and the skirt is adorned with a satin ribbon.  Her hair is drawn back smoothly and arranged in ringlets.  A wide-brimmed hat protects her fair complexion.  Her lovely features are sculpted of fine porcelain bisque and carefully hand-painted.
