Vtg Chalk Ware Hawaiian Hula Girl Nodder Aloha Dashboard Ornament.
This is a lovely lady vintage Hawaiian hula girl Nodder Dashboard ornament in a nice chalk ware. Not marked but probably made in Japan however there is remnants of paper or some thing on the bottom probably over top of the mark. She has had repair as you can see in the pictures it wasn’t done very well. Looks like both her ankles broke right off and the repair is a white glue. She also has a mark on the back of her head where the paint is chipped off the black hair. She probably dates to the 1940s era and even with her scars she is lovely. She measures 7 inches tall and across the bottom of the stand is just over 2 1/2 inches. Her grass skirt is in lovely condition and she moves well on the spring.
